Dr Patti Piper BHB, MBChB, FRNZCGP, Dip, NZSCM (New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine), Dip, SCCA (Skin Cancer College Australasia), Full member NZSCD (New Zealand Skin Cancer Doctors), graduated from Auckland School of Medicine and entered the surgical training scheme to train first in general surgery and then neurosurgery. Six years later she changed career paths to General Practice and launched Sunset Road Family Doctors. She achieved Fellowship to the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners. Her practice has Cornerstone accreditation from the College and she enjoys teaching doctors on the RNZCGP General Practice training scheme on placement at Sunset Road. She performs all the skin cancer surgery in her practice and promotes skin protection from the sun.
What sets Dr Patti apart is that she cares about her patients on a personal level; she’s completely down to earth and non-judgemental, she’s a natural at cheering people up and brings lightness and humour to every situation. She’s energetic and inspirational. She’s artistic (yes, doctors can be artists) and she’s an awesome mother!
Having an innate sense of beauty and proportion is essential in the practice of aesthetic medicine, as is a genuine desire to bring out the best in people. She’s passionate about aesthetic medicine and its safe practice and is committed to ongoing training to continuously improve her skills. She has been awarded the Diploma of Cosmetic Medicine by NZSCM (New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine) and received the Dr Ralph Saxe Outstanding Trainee Award for her year. She is an absolute perfectionist, who works gently and safely, improving proportions and rejuvenating all areas of the face to create a harmonious natural result.
