Facial shaping is a relatively new field of Aesthetic Medicine and primarily involves the use of Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Filler.

Every ethnicity has certain facial structures and features that are considered beautiful. For example, in caucasian people, high cheekbones. Regardless of our ethnicity, we all have unique facial qualities that we would consider our ‘best features’ – such as big eyes or facial symmetry. The practice of Facial Shaping is all about emphasizing these natural features, while using new techniques to help create structures and features that may be less prominent than desired.

Some examples of this practice include:

  • Enhancing cheekbones
  • Shaping the nose and/or chin to correct minor imperfections
  • creating structure around the jawline for a more prominent jaw
  • Shaping the face around the jawline to thin the face (especially in Asian people)
  • Adding volume to lift the face or create more youthful structures
  • Tightening the skin under the chin and neck area to create a more youthful look (a.k.a The Nefertiti Lift)

Facial shaping is a practice that extends beyond the medical process of treating areas of concern with products, and speaks to the injectors artistic ability and eye for beauty.
